Any agreement, executive action, or partnership, however, requires a resolution passed by the Tribal Council (comprised by present and former executive officers serving life terms).
An initial dialogue and consultation should be directed to the
Governor's Office, who will delegate a staff member probably the tribal administrator, to take the responsibility. The Pueblo would rather conduct dialogue directly with policy and decision makers .
Tribal Council consists of 42 members and a quorum is based on
tradition, requiring at lest 2 members to be present. Chief and Fiscales serve life terms and all other officers serve 1 year terms.
Appointments are mde from December 29th through January 1st and are sworn in on January 1st following the appointment.
