Most decisions are approved by the Council through resolutions, and this may take some time so the timing of consultations is very important. Initial contact should be made through the Governor's or Lieutenant Governors Office, who will assign one of their officers to handle the task.
The Governor is elected to a 2 year term and the Tribal Council
members are appointed following an Agreement signed in 1958.
