Tribal Council consisting of 37 members has no established official quorum to conduct business but historically there have been at least 20 members. Tribal Council members serve life terms, officers serve 1 year terms, and Tribal Spokesman and Treasurer serve indefinite terms.
The appointments are made from December 29th to January 1st by the religious leader, Cacique and the officers are sworn in on January 6th, following appointment.
