The Governing body is the Tribal Council consisting of all males over 18 years of age (195 as of 2000), serving life terms. With no established official quorum for business but traditionally all members at a duly called meeting can conduct business. Officers serve 1 year terms by appointment and are sworn in on December 29th by the religious leader, Cacique.
